The Comfortnights bed pad will protect your mattress from all forms of liquid. The pad consists of five functional layers. The top layer is made from a highly technical fabric which allows liquids to quickly pass through whilst it still remains dry and comfortable for the user. The liquid is then locked away in the middle layers and the waterproof and breathable polyurethane backing prevents penetration of the liquid to the mattress. The polyurethane layer used in these quality pads is far superior to the PVC used in similar pads which are available on the market. Cost effective and reliable, this product aims to offer the user: comfort, confidence and help to promote independence. The product has been designed for long term use and can be washed and re-used many times. In fact the rate of absorbency will increase after the first few washes. The Comfortnights bed pad can be washed at temperatures up to 95 deg. C (for thermal disinfection in the care setting) and it is suitable for tumble drying.
In addition to being used for continence care the smaller pads make an excellent washable changing mat for babies keeping them warm and comfortable during changing, no more cold plastic changing mats! The pads can also be used by young children when first becoming dry at night. The smaller sized pads can packed when travelling away from home in case of accidents.
